2.Track: Heart Failure

Heart failure is a common, costly, and potentially fatal condition. In 2015 it affected about 40 million people globally. Overall around 2% of adults have heart failure and among those over the age of 65, this increases to 6–10%. The risk of death is about 35% which gets decreases to below 10% each year.In United Kingdom the disease is the reason for 5% of emergency hospital admissions.

Myocardial infarction, hypertension (increases the force of contraction) and amyloidosis (in which misfolded proteins are deposited in the heart muscle) are wide number of conditions which reduces the efficiency of the heart muscle causing the heart failure through damage. More over these increases the workload which will produce changes to the heart.

11.Track: Heart diseases in women

Heart disease is the main killer of women, which counts upto 1 women per minute by causing 1 in 3 deaths each year .Women have several misconceptions about heart disease in which may lead to put you at risk. Moreover, the other heart diseases, such as coronary micro vascular disease (MVD) and broken heart syndrome, also pose a risk for women.

These disorders, which mainly affect women, are not as well understood as CHD. Symptoms such as dizziness, palpitations, and syncope are frequent complaints encountered by family physicians, internists, and cardiologists. In contrast to these ubiquitous complaints which are generally benign, sudden cardiac death remains an important public health concern.

European Cardiology Congress is a two-day programme of presentations, panel discussions and interactive dialogue at the conference on leading the way in the research field of cardiology, vascular surgery & electrophysiology which is going to be held during July 01-02, 2019 at Prague, Czech Republic.

Theme: Promoting the New Innovative thoughts In Cardiac Research

Importance & Scope:

Euro Cardiology Congress will be the best platform for all the scientists, cardiologists, oncologists, electro physiologists, surgeons, nurses, research scholars, students who are working in this field to exchange their knowledge related to Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery. This international event is an effort to find an alternative for invasive imaging technique against heart diseases and heart failure conditions in adults & children.

Growth of Cardiology Market:-

The Czech Republic also has some of the worst mortality figures for heart disease (IHD) and stroke (cerebrovascular accident or CVA). Death rates from heart disease are 260.4 per 100,000 populations & for stroke, the rate is 106.4 per 100,000 populations. The Czech Republic has more than halved its rate of case fatality after a heart attack, from 15% in 2001 to 6% in 2011.The prevalence of chronic heart disease among type 2 diabetes patients has fallen, from 40% in 2001 to below 30% in 2008. The country also has lower hospital admission rates for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The Czech Republic has initiated screening of blood pressure, cholesterol and other cardiovascular risk factors. But the cost-effectiveness of this programme needs to be evaluated.

At the end of 1980s, the rapid transition from socialists economic to market economic caused further divergence in mortality. While in some countries like in Czechia, rapid improvement in health condition were recorded and belatedly cardiovascular revolution took place.Since 1990s, among the Czech population, many changes and enormous improvements in cardiovascular health have occurred and resulted in more than 50% decline of CVD mortality rates; both due to changes in lifestyle, subsequent decrease in prevalence of risk factors and due to changes in healthcare. This trend diverted Czechia from most of the Eastern European countries closer to Western European countries; however, the east–west mortality gap still persists in the case of CVDs.

It is mainly the mortality due to ischaemic heart disease (IHD) (International Classification of Diseases which causes the differences. The level of IHD mortality in Czechia (standardised death rate (SDR) in 2014 was 199 per 100 000 males, 115 per 100 000 females) is more than two times higher than in the European Union (EU) (SDR in 2014 was 96 per 100 000 males, 47 per 100 000 females). On contrary, the level of mortality due to stroke in Czechia (SDR in 2014 was 61 per 100 000 males, 48 per 100 000 females) is only about 25% higher than in EU (SDR in 2014 was 49 per 100 000 males, 39 per 100 000 females). While the countries of Western Europe have passed the stage of cardiovascular revolution, the Czech population still remains far from having a ‘healthy lifestyle’, mainly due to a diet rich in saturated fat and salt and poor in fruit and vegetable intake, lack of physical activity leading to overweight and the prevalence of diabetes. Changes in the lifestyle of the Czech population are very slow compared with the extraordinary improvements in healthcare made during the 1990s.
